Will my name be added to a mailing list?
PTW ® Jewelry does not sell or share our mailing and contact lists. Please add your name and email address to our mailing list in the footer of our website to join. You may also email info@joanhornig.com or call 212.427.6216 if you would like to be added to our mailing list.

PURCHASES/SHOPPING

What is the return/exchange policy?
All PTW® Jewelry purchased online can be returned for a refund of the purchase price in the form that it was paid within 14 days of receiving the order if the following terms are met.

All items must be returned in as-sold condition, unworn, and in the original packaging.

If you would like to exchange your purchase, please contact us within 7 business days at info@joanhornig.com with the specific request.

If your purchase arrives damaged or broken, please contact us info@joanhornig.com immediately upon delivery too coordinate an exchange.

When can I expect to receive my purchase?
All domestic orders should be received within 10 days from placing the order or less. If your selection is out of stock, then you will be notified of an expected delivery date and. In the event of a production delay, we will promptly notify you with an updated timeline. 

How will my purchase be shipped?
Domestic orders are shipped via a certified carrier and you will be notified of the tracking number once the order has been processed. An adult upon delivery must sign for all domestic orders unless specified otherwise. International shipping rates and methods will vary according to their size, value and destination. Will I pay sales tax on my purchase?
New York State Sales Tax is applicable for purchases sent to a New York address. Upon processing the order, the receipt will reflect the Sales Tax if applicable.

Does PTW ® Jewelry have a retail store?
While we do not have a bricks & mortar store, we participate in a number of public events across the country throughout the year. Feel free to follow us on social media so you can be in on the fun!

Do you provide gift messages?
First of all, thank you for keeping the giving going with us for your gift purchase! If  you would like to include a message, feel free to let us know in the 'Note/Charity Designation' box upon checkout. We are happy to include a note with your special message 

CHARITY INFORMATION

PTW® Jewelry is designed to make a statement and a difference. Every purchase generates a charitable donation of all profits on that purchase and is made by PTW ® Jewelry in the purchaser’s or gift recipient’s honor to the charity of the purchaser’s choice.

How do I specify a charity to benefit from my purchase?
  1. Every purchase generates a charitable contribution made by Joan Hornig. The organization selected must be a registered 501(c)(3).
  2. At checkout, you will see an entry form where you can provide the information for the charity of your choice. This is the section where you can designate the donation to be made in someone's honor.
  3. Once the order has been processed, we review the information that was entered and keep record of it until it is scheduled for the donation to be made.
  4. All profits generated by the order will be donated in your name or the indicated honoree. After the donation has been made, we ask that the organization reaches out to the purchaser to confirm that they have received a donation in your honor.

If you are choosing a large organization with local branches, then please specify which branch you want to receive the donation. If you are choosing a specific program or department within an organization, then please specify that. 

The more specific the information that is provided, the better. We want to keep the giving going and thank you for taking the time to select a charity that matters to you. In addition, a donation card is included in the packaging with instructions on how to donate. Donations are made quarterly.

How can I designate the donation to be made in someone else’s honor?
If you’d like to donate in someone else's name, please provide the charity information (see above) AS WELL AS the name of the person who you would like the donation to honor, their email or postal address.

How will I know the donation has been made?
Unless you specify otherwise, you will be referenced as the honoree of the donation. We hope the non-profit contacts you and thanks you, but we will also have a record. Donations are made quarterly.  

JEWELRY INFORMATION

Where is the jewelry made?
All the PTW ® Jewelry designs are created by Joan Hornig in New York City and are manufactured in New York City, India and Vietnam.

How do I care for my jewelry?
Proper care and maintenance will preserve the beauty of your PTW ® Jewelry. Take care to avoid exposing jewelry to substances containing bleach or ammonia. Avoid contact with perfumes, hairspray, cosmetics or other household chemicals. Remove your jewelry before contact with water. Sterling silver and brass can be polished with standard non-abrasive polishing cloths.

How can I have my jewelry repaired?
We apologize in advance if any of our products need repair. Please email 

info@joanhornig.com or call 212.427.6216 to arrange for a repair. All repairs are handled on a case-by-case basis. Charges are assessed once the item for repair has been received and evaluated by our representatives. You will be notified if any charges are required and we will need you to accept any charges before proceeding with any repair.

Can I alter a piece of PTW ® Jewelry?
We want your purchase to best suit your needs so we invite you to consult a representative directly by email at info@joanhornig.com or by calling 212.427.6216 to discuss the feasibility and cost affecting a jewelry conversion.

What materials are used for the jewelry?
A range of metals are used in the designs including sterling silver, rose gold, and gold. All of the semi-precious (amethyst, onyx, lapis, rock crystal, etc.) and precious stones (white diamonds, black diamonds, etc.) are ethically sourced. We do our best to use packaging materials that have been recycled and can be reused to reduce our carbon footprint.
